At Belleayre. Doesn't look like any snowmaking on this trail (can't really tell which, looks like one of the ones near the bottom, lift 1/2), but this picture was taken at 1PM today! (This image is different than the one I posted, they change it every day so....).

Cool pic, looks like natural to me.. :D
Yeah, it is for sure. Looking for some snow in the area tonight, although it's 45 at my house now and I live 25 minutes from Belleayre (at like 500 ft. less elevation)... Maybe their Nov. 10th opening date will actually happen? :snow:.

I'm thinking it might be a shot up Onteora from the Overlook deck, then cropped... The leaning snowgun pipe is similar here in a foggy MLK Weekend '06 cropped shot, for comparison....

No -

From the overlook lodge deck you are looking up Wanatuska, and it's definitely not Wanatuska in the picture because Wanatuska doesn't have an access road going up it and the hill is steeper since they dug it out 2 or so years ago. Looks like the picture was taken from somewhere in front of the Discovery lodge.

Nah, I think it's one of the green circles near the bottom. See how there is no tree run/gladed area to the left? Doesn't really look like that much of a slope, and those ATV tracks are there on the lower mountain too during the summer (or when they open early but leave trails uncovered with snow).

But... I could be wrong too, whatever.

Yea - duh - I was thinking that Onte is right next to Yahoo, but it turns left into the bottom of Yahoo - so that is Wanatuska there, of course... and the steepness was throwing me off too, but I kept thinking if I had just taken that pic from 100 yards to my left, instead of from the flagpole, it would correct the perspective....

I was also thinking that most of th pics of the day are taken from that area....

Ya know all this is just here to tease our brains anyway~~~~~ :snow:
