Stay recommendations for Hunter region

I am planning to head to Hunter during the weekend of the 16th of February with 4 more couples so far (no kids). So we are looking for a cottage/home with 4-6 bedrooms not far from the Hunter mountain area. Given that its a short notice for the trip, I am hoping I will be able to get the accomodation squared out. Any recommendations? We will have 4 first timers and most of the others are beginner/intermediate.

The hunter inn is sweet. Huge buffet breakfast with alot of meat.
