Total mush...very sticky...huge runouts that take a long time to get down.
A bit exhausting...and by 2..the pain is a bit much..

Can't wax them enough in Spring snow conditions!

I'm waxing daily this time of year with all the warm stuff I have

It’s amazing the difference a warm weather wax made for me this past weekend. Two weeks ago at SR I could not move. I was sliding and gliding all weekend this past tho

When it's either REALLY cold or warm and Spring wet snow, definitely makes the biggest difference with fresh, proper temperature wax. "Normal" temps/snow moisture levels, not nearly as much

I carry a tin of the paste stuff and wax rub it on a couple times. My iron just broke so that's gonna have to do. I'm replacing all my equipment over summer.

My preferred combo in really wet Spring snow, and I will admit that I am partial to Toko wax products, is I will 1st put down a base layer of yellow performance wax, then scrape and brush, and use their yellow spray paraffin over it, let it dry and good to go. Can get about 25k feet with the water still beading up on my bases and unless I am going through some dark gray areas of fully saturated snow, basically no sticking

And this time of the year, unless I see burs in my edges, it's only wax work I am doing to my skis. And if I see a bur, just a little quick touch up with a medium grit diamond stone

I like the Swix racing wax yellow. Board glides all day! I do the same on the edges, use a diamond stone 600 or even 1000 for a quick pass or two. Good to go. If the weather pattern holds this will be a great 9 day stretch of spring riding…

Slug, get as much warm weather wax on your sticks as possible before you hit the hill tomorrow! Sticky creamed corn out on the hill this morning! Coverage still very good. Wish it would get colder at night to get primo corn vs more mashed potatoes!

That's the plan for tomorrow morning..getting in at midnight...
Safe travels! And you certainly won't have to worry about icy roads on your drive from the airport! Was just 55 degrees when my wife and I got off forerunner before taking a break in the Octagon
