Kind of perfect though - about half way, right? So same amount of driving as day tripping Hunter....Will be there Wed & Thurs. Hitting Hunter on the way up on Tues - that's gonna be a long day.

Sounds like a plan.. Yes they were great…..I’ll dm you next time, make things easier. Stayed in the woods most of the day.
Those last couple hours were great, Chin Clip and Goat were in excellent shape.

Near the end of the way back to Smuggs over Snuffy’s trail, you reach Sterling Pond again. On right are my tracks from earlier (heading towards Stowe), at back left is the last part of the trail back to Smugglers Notch (same gap in trees, but opposite direction from earlier in the day):
