I would be very carefull about buying lift ticket vouchers as most of them say on them not for resale. I know Mount Snow is voiding the voucher code off of any ones run through ebay and thus when you show up with one no ticket for you. I am pretty sure those chevy vouchers to stowe do say not for resale or something to that effect (I already used mine).

And how would they get the voucher code? I wouldn't worry about it. How do you know Mt. Snow is doing this? I don't believe that, myself..

Yeah, but I highly doubt the resorts' staff have time to search for these things on eBay. If it's brought to their attention, I suppose they may void the voucher, however.

At Mount Snow each voucher has an individual code. This code is imputed into the ticketing system to print the ticket (thus preventing more then one ticket per code). You can see the code in the pictures. They give out alot of vouchers for various reasons such as radio trade, trade shows etc. and they like to track them.

I have a ver close and reliable source at Mount Snow that is in the know.

I have sold tickets on Ebay, sort of. Example for Stowe vouchers, I would have an auction for a cheap sticker I would buy in bulk at a dollar store. My anchor or tag lines for the auction would be Stowe. The auction would read, "You are bidding on a sticker of a mountain that would look sharp on your car and with this sticker you will receive a FREE Stowe Voucher valid on xxxxx and not vaild on xxxx".

Please note I said an EXAMPLE of an auction. I have also purchased ski vouchers many times on Ebay. Most of the vouchers are the VSA ones.

Looked at the voucher, it clearly says "BEARER" on it- in other words, whoever is holding the voucher. As long as it isn't bought/sold on their property they will give a ticket to the BEARER

Good luck. Like i said i used mine (stowe) already but most vouchers say not for resale (all of asc's do). The Okemo/Sunapee ones clearly state "coupon is not for resale under the NH Theft of Services Law 637.8 or Vermont Theft of Services Laws VSA 2581 or 2582.

These ones say BEARER - I have seen them personally - you are being paranoid

I think tree_skier's point is that each voucher has a code. Usually when using such a voucher to get a lift ticket the attendant will enter in the code into their system to check its validity/record its use. In the event the resort staff got wind of the re-sale, they could very easily invalidate that particular code. I still doubt they're searching eBay for these, but personally I wouldn't take the risk of buying such vouchers on eBay...

What I am telling you is these ARE transferable. That is why is says BEARER. I have seen them.
