What a morning! Got skinning at 6, and made it to mid- mountain for a spectacular sunrise. Went up Nosedive and could not help but to bomb it for our first run. Great cover, 6-12 fresh, visability unlimited, made for the fastest skiing of the season so far. Got back in our skin track for lap 2. Hardy and Christa skied Goat, and I wandered off towards National and Lift Line for a solo run. Dropped into Lift Line with one track down the right edge, so I took the left side. The top was a bit variable due to the wind, But once I got down onto lower National, it was on. Lot's of natural features makes National a really interesting ski. Then back up for one more cruiser, and with the major trails getting pretty played (at least 3 tracks), I went low angle. Centerline to Northslope, to Hacket's Highway to Lords. All untracked.
Really felt great today, my tele is really getting better everyday, and I'm feeling more confident dropping a knee a speed. Five days in October, 4 were great days, today was one fo the best I can remember. Got in 3 laps, all untracked, done by 10. 20-30 cars in the lot when we left. Perfect timing. More snow Wednesday.
Yeah yeah yeah.....just post the pics. You did take some pics, didn't you?!?
