That's great news. I'm so glad I bought the Silver pass. Just the fact they'll try to open if the weather cooperates makes me feel better about the commitment of buying a pass.
I'll make the drive for a day trip if they're the only one open. Even if I can only go for a few hours of skiing.
hiissssssssssssssssssssssssssssss....hear that, its all the air coming out of everyone's collective bubble that you just popped. Just when everyone is running away with the fantasy of an Oct opening, you come along and slap us around with last winter's dismal opening.:smash: Way to go bubble burster, way to go.WOW! First to open! We're gonna ski!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can we at least wait until it gets cold to see what might happen?
Last season, first to open happened about Thanksgiving.

Ummm, If they really felt like it, they could blow some air intensive snow tonight. It's supposed to be 37 in Kingfield, never mind up the mountain.
P.S. I feel a mouse blowing out session at either/or coming on soon............
Don't they blow the moose out up there?
Last year the distinction of being first to open in the east went to little Woodbury Ski area in Connecticut.

Ha ha ha ha. I WISH they had the pipe diameter to blow out moose
A 100' vertical patch hardly qualifies as open IMHO.
