That's great news. I'm so glad I bought the Silver pass. Just the fact they'll try to open if the weather cooperates makes me feel better about the commitment of buying a pass.

I'll make the drive for a day trip if they're the only one open. Even if I can only go for a few hours of skiing.

You sound like the marketing target. Glad I bought a pass as well.

Jim. this is a rumor with positive vibes to it. Let it roll.:razz::spin:

We all know that weather makes a difference. If you were going to pick a place to open early I would think it would be here. I could be wrong, but wasn't the loaf ready to go two weeks before they opened last year with top to bottom coverage. Could have been two years ago. Bill from the loaf was talking it up how they were having fun before the lifts were turning for the general public.

Go steal Chrismas from someone else your grinch.razz:

Oh man, Sugarloaf has opened in October before so it's not a pipe dream. And we all understand weather may play a role one way or the other. I think the real story here is that they are making the effort to be first and picking up the baton that Killington seemingly has dropped. It bodes well for the overall well being of Sugarloaf and Sunday River under Boyne.

Ummm, If they really felt like it, they could blow some air intensive snow tonight. It's supposed to be 37 in Kingfield, never mind up the mountain. :daffy:
