Okemo is okay for fast lifts and great snowmaking/grooming, but don't look for anything terribly steep.
Really? I had heard that they had some decent advanced skiing and riding.

It's not ASC... and that's a good thing!
thetrailboss said:OK, update: We're now leaning toward the Okemo/Sunapee/Stratton/etc College pass for $299. No blackouts, 7 days a week, holidays included. About 35 miles from our place to either Sunapee (all interstate) or Okemo. Might avoid Flatten' though.
Bob R said:If your in Wilder it would be the ASC pass and Killington. 40 min to K or Pico. SR is only 4 hours close enough.

nope just heard stuff about it... heard from many people and ski mag that the rating are all downscaled like double black=black black=blue and so on
On the good side of that season pass they do have awsome snowmaking so it will be reliable, its weird that they dont stay open late with all of that snowmaking :-?
awf170 said:just checked on magic season pass for you it would be $400

Yes, we're just throwing some ideas around...great to get input...it's going to be a tough sell for Magic since Ms. Trailboss is a cruisy kind of gal and was really getting excited about Sunapee and Okemo. BTW Sunapee is the most direct place for us and easiest to get to...
If TB had his way, it'd be Burke and K-mart. I'd move Sugarbush closer as well...that option has been ruled out thanks to the distance

thetrailboss said:OK, now for those that have been to Okemo, how does the black terrain compare to say, Sunday River's?
I've never been to Okemo, but Ms. Trailboss is hot about Okemo from what she's heard from her friends.

The black stuff at pokemo is a little less challanging then some of the blues at Someday Bigger.
For example the bottom of Northern Lights is steeper then any trail at okemo and Risky Business and american express are on par with any black.
