I’m back in work after having a great 3 day weekend skiing Whiteface. I’m good score and good tired and happy to be getting into the rhythm of another season. My problem is I’m really hating being in work right now. Things that normally don’t bother me are getting on my nerves. I don’t want to be here at all, I’d rather be back at the mountain. If I couldn’t be skiing today then I’d rather be doing something else besides being here.
Once I get back in the swing of skiing mostly weekends and vacations, then coming back to work I’ll be OK. Today it’s just hard.

How about you?

Do you feel satisfied and refreshed from your early season skiing or kinda down and out of it like me?

2 days this weekend. My right thigh is a little sore, but I only notice when I walk. I do feel a bit tired, but not wiped out. Guess all that off season training helped.

I think that because I'm primarily a day tripper who skis one day a week, I don't have the same withdrawal as the weekender or someone who lives next to a mountain and goes more frequently.

Work is work, I enjoy it, but there's always some place else I'd rather be. I woke up this morning excited that it is December 1st and it will be anywhere from 4.5-6 months before I have to worry about finding something other than skiing to do on the weekends.

The combination of the 4 day weekend and skiing 3 of those 4 days really made me have even less interest than usual to get up and head into work. I did though, eventually... :(

Tired. More from not going to bed early enough than skiing. Not thrilled to be here, but not overly bent about it. Content with the skiing I did over the weekend. Would love to be able to ski Wednesday night, but it'll have to wait to the weekend.

Man, I was feeling the EXACT same way, then I came on here and read your post. I love getting away from it all while skiing but coming back to it on monday stinks! The one benefit is that it's easier for me to wake up in the morning during ski season - during ski season I wake up the same time I do for work, instead of sleeping in. That makes it easier to wake up for work during the week.

You're not alone!

I can't stand it.....I hate coming back to work/Mass after being in the mountains. At least I'll be up again this coming weekend, then back to work for 2 days, office holiday party on Tues night, then skiing Weds-Sat. Back to work for a week, then xmas vaca at work and 5more ski days.

I'll be outta this mountain forsaken state within a year anyway. Still, taking a year off and skiing just about daily last year was the best decision I've ever made, and I'd love the opportunity to be able to do that again. That said, I am now on break and going to buy a lotto ticket.........hopefully someone's smiling down on me and wants me to live the dream.

Work Sucks . . .

But when I win that $128 million Mega Millions jackpot tomorrow, I won't have to ever worry about work again ;-)

Matt I am going to have to call you out on that. With that tone you are 'saying' that you actually WONT win in hopes of not jinxing your win.

I'm on to you...

No, I'm not going to win

Tomorrow I'll be back at work after 5 days off..I'm actually looking forward to catching up on things. Skiing is never an escape for me..I think about Work when I ski and skiing when I work. After work tomorrow I'll probably go night skiing at Blue mountain..that's what I do most days after work..my cure for the Mondays is skiing. I like the routine of working..skiing 3 hours afterwork..late dinner/internet surfing..good night of sleep..repeat..
