It figures. For the first time I can remember i'm wishing I was taking a trip up North. Stowe, The Bush, Whiteface, all looking great. Not that I'm complaining, JH is getting some, just not this much. Save me some.

true. I just got back from JH last week. they had not gotten much if any new snow in the 3 weeks prior to my trip. when I was there, they got a trace amount of snow.

still conditions were okay by northeast standards, that is if you don;t mind the hard pack, occasional exposed rock and twigs popping up through the snow. I mean conditions wise, if it had been the northeast, it would have been a normal day.

I hope this means march and april are going to be epic out there. this el nino weather pattern seems to suck for everybody except the pacific northwest.

I am heading out to Keystone next week and it looks like we picked a good time to do it as the western ridge is due to break down and allow for a more favorable storm track next week.

Looks like some powder days might be possible.

We just finished 2 weeks in Breck with a couple days at Keystone,

while the conditions certainly weren't bad, they were pretty inconsistent and not as good as I've seen in recent years.

while we had about 20" in Breck last week, most of it blew away with 70 MPH winds last weekend, there were a couple of really nasty days where all but the lower lifts were shut for the better part of 2 days

conditions ranged from very wind blown with some very slick areas, even by eastern standards.. to hard pack, with a couple really good days with no wind..

Breck as usual was a LOT more wind blown than Keystone,

We skied Keystone this morning before heading back to Denver and while it was getting skied off quickly on the main routes, was probably in a little better shape than Brecks main faces,

There were some good areas in Breck, E Chair was nice, (protected from the wind) and chair 5 was pretty decent too, though a bit more windy.. Imperial was really tough on all but a couple days,

We did have 1 truly great day last Thursday which was the day after a 13" inch dump, great snow everywhere.. really a perfect day..

Snowfall is about normal here for this time of year, but it has been really windy the past couple weeks, and the wind has really negated the good snow that has fallen.

The good news is they are calling for maybe 6-12" through Sunday morning.

I've also been following the Stowe weather as we're heading up there in a couple weeks, I wish a bit more of it would head over to Wildcat as we're going to try and get a few days in there too.
