Let's just pray for a re-run of spring 07'. Add that amount of snow on top of the deep bases in the mountains and who knows, could see lifts spinning til the end of May. When can only hope right?

Just got to think:

Biking

Wakeboarding
No School

I just have to think that for a couple months.

Are you a teacher? To add insult to injury..all the non skiers in my life keep saying to me..."Aren't you Depressed that ski season is almost over"...doh..

Greg,

I don't know your financial/vacation situation, but wouldn't it be fun to have a ski trip planned to South America in late August, right about the time skiing is most distant in North America. You could probably do a bare-bones ski trip for a couple of thousand bucks and you'd have something to look forward to all summer.

Hablas español? :)

Couple of thousand in South America? Are you talking about spending a whole month! there or what?

The way I view it is that while I can't ski all summer, my work in the summer is what lets me ski in the winter. Training, and my job both combine to make the next winter for me. So i'll be doing a lot of both. That, and deciding whether to move to Bozeman, MT or Burlington, VT. Ah, to be a high-school junior.

Probably a little too early to post it in the Trips forum, but I have a trip planned to Las Lenas in Argentina Summer 2009. I'm guessing my Argentine former roommate would be happy to guide and/or translate for any other AZers that happen to be down there at the same time.

In all seriousness, this storm really bummed me out as well. I had this great circuitous route through Vermont planned (Ascutney AZ meetup followed by my first trip to MRG with a free ticket I've been holding on to for a while), and I optimistially kept checking all the weather sites until I cancelled my rental car at the last minute. Here's hoping for a long Spring season...

Of course the end of the ski season brings on a bit of a downer, but it's far from over yet. Some of the best turns of the season happen in March and April. These are times for skiing in the sun on spring snow. It's also a good time to think back on all the good that this waning season brought us.
Before you know it it will be that much closer to our summer trip to Hatteras and then to the start of next ski season. :)

I'm not upset... For every thing there is a season...

Psyched to start summer... But like the good Dr. said - good riding is yet to come... and if your an aspiring bumper - spring should be your thing!

No crying here---I've got plenty of stuff to keep me entertained
It's not a matter of whether or not there's plenty to do. Heck, I have to find somewhere to live, pack, and move in the next 2 months! Still sad that the season is almost over... though I guess keeping busy will help mitigate the pain.

We still have the best quarter of skiing ahead of us.

I have been watching a lot more of the gold channel lately. Not wishing for it but when the warm weather comes the golf itch is in full effect.

Honestly, the biggest source of end of season depression for me is that I have massive work obligations that will keep me from skiing as much as I would like.

I'm a bit down about the looming end of season, which is odd because I don't get depressed very often. I think it has more to do with all the new buds I made this year and the comraderie that came along with AZ meetings. I'm happy that I can pull the pink dragon out of the basement though, and look forward to some QT on the ole' bike.

I've been coming to the realization that my season has been over before it even started. Just hasn't been right without my partner, even when I get out, I usually ski couple of hours, half day tops. Right now, although it doesn't look too promising, I may still try to get to Sugarbush for Good Friday. Difference being where I was planning on going for a long weekend, my just try to make that one day. May still try for Tux and Whiteface, we'll see. Other then those, I'm pretty much done.

Get healthy and start preparing for next season. I had a bad season ender about 10-12 years ago and did everything humanly possible to get ready and get healthy. This is the time now for you both to start getting ready physically and mentally.
