Just was thinking last night that we have not heard anything about Tenney since they closed last season. Any reports from the ground? Any recent trips? News? The mountain website has not been updated since December and there is no other word.

Website is gone (?)
Rumors going around greater metropolitan Plymouth say that:
1. The base lodge was condemned. Seems a roof leak was ignored, which led to a large mold issue in the cafeteria kitchen. This happened just before the decision to "not operate" was announced.
2. The land where all the proposed development was to take place is not actually owned by the ski area. Whoops! It's actually owned by the condo homeowner's association and lawsuits are now pending.

Again these are just rumors I have heard and may not be factual.

I drove through there a few days ago, not much to see...while there are tracks going up the liftline, I think they're from last year.

Could be a big reason why the ski area was closed.....

So who is suing who and why? Are the current owners suing the former owners? If so, then the due diligence was not properly handled. I'm not sure how the Home Owner's Association could sue the current outfit...especially if nothing has been done with the land.

Not sure who is suing who, the rumors I hear aren't big on details.
Greater metroploitan plymouth. Is that the post office the green or both. I'm in the burbs.
Could be anywhere from exit 23 to 28 on 93, really, as far as the traffic that Super Wally World pulls in goes. If the proposed Low's and Home Despot come in it could be much more.

Which is prolly why there has been some action up at the Tenney base area with EMS recently. They are creating some sort of adventure center. They mention lift serviced mountain biking but not lift serviced skiing??

"The Exploration Schools of Eastern Mountain Sports will be offering programs starting this July. Programs will include Kayak Lessons and Tours, Mountain Biking Lessons and Tours, Rock Climbing, Geocaching, Family Programs and lots more! "
"Located at Tenney Mountain Ski Area in Plymouth, New Hampshire, the new White Mountain Exploration Center will be basecamp fo many great summer and winter activities. Just a Sampling of what's coming:
Rock Climbing, Kayaking, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Fly Fishing, Canoeing, Backcountry skiing, Alpine Ski Touring, Backcountry Snowboarding, Lift Serviced Mountain Bike Trails, Extreme Mountain Bike Park, Ice Climbing, Mountaineering, Geocaching, Backpacking, Zip Lines, Courses and Clinics for map and Compass Skills, Bike Maintenance, Fly Tying, Avalanche Courses, First Aid, High Altitude Skills and lots more!
