The Pats now hold the title for the biggest choke in professional sports history. A title that I certainly won't miss. Congrats!!!!!

Oh baby! I'm gonna have trouble sleeping tonight. What a great football game on so many levels.

This does make up for the 3-0 choke back in '04...I hope the '72 Dolphins are happy.

In 4 games the Giants avenged most of their losses this season.

Eli now gets a lifetime pass.

WOW!

Manning played great an proved himself to be a championship QB, but this game was won by defense and a few on d deserved the MVP more than Manning.

To say the Pats choked cheapens the what the Giants did. The Giants opened up a big can of whoop ass on the Pats in every aspect of the game. They earned that Vince Lombardi trophy. Excuse me now, I have to :puke:

This doesn't even come close to the Yankees choke in '04... not only did the Yankees lose 4 games instead of 1, they had games 4 and 5 won and 1 shot could've ended 6. Tonight was a bigger upset, but not a bigger choke.

Channel 4 just asked which is more heartbreaking... this or '03 Red Sox ALCS. Most definitely it was the Red Sox. It was just 5 years ago when the Red Sox making the playoffs was a once maybe every 5 years kinda deal. We can look back now and say "well, they won the next year"... but when it actually happened, that was easily a lot more heartbreaking.

Perhaps the Pats can do it again next year... very easy schedule coming up, but as for tonight, congrats to the Giants, they clearly were the better team and easily the more physical team... I've seen pieces of paper stronger than the Pats O-line. The Pats made some really dumb plays tonight.

Hmmmm where were all you guys when the Gmen were 0-2? The only one i remember was Jim G. Anyways does this wipe away 04 for you Yankee fans i dont think so they had 4games to put that away , this was a 1time deal. The Giants just blew up the line of scrimmage and Brady never had enough time , plain and simple. Samuel had that game in his hands if he picks that pass, but give the Giants some credit, especially Eli im glad to see him even if it was against my team come out of the shadow of his brother and get the damn media off his ass in NY. I used to say this alot as a redsox fan, theres always next year. nice job G-men. Well deserved.

This game will make it just a bit easier on the chairlifts of New England the rest of this winter. Pats won every game that didn't matter

What a s**t show. Brady looked strung out whenever they showed him up close. All red eyed and looking freaked out.

Too bad the offensive line decided to stay home tonight. The last time I saw the stat it was 4 sacks and 10 knock downs. What did they end up with?

Damn Giants must have slipped them some of that flu virus.

Cheaters Never Win...GIANTS DO!

Eli Manning pulled a Tom Brady on Tommy and Pats.
BUT Defense was the difference as Spagnuoli's boys executed what they needed to.

see ya at the parade on Tuesday!

I've got to agree....Apples and oranges. Last time I checked, neither the Yankees nor the Red Sox play football.

The stain of 2004 can only be washed away by World Championship Number 27 (preferably following the ouster of the Red Sox in the ALCS).

A great year to be both a Red Sox and a Giants fan! I certainly don't think the Patriots choked, nor that the Giants played way above themselves - they were working their way up to the Patriots' level the last 6 games, and this one could have gone either way. A minute more or less of game time and the outcome could have been different.

I agree. The pats never had a great defense this year, it was functional. I think in the later part of the season other teams knew how to expose the weakness on both offense and defense by looking at film.

I just hope belichick keeps Asante and get some fresh legs in the linebacker corp.

Great game --BUT its ONLY a GAME not real life .

There are WAY more IMPORTANT issues in Life .

So lets all calm down , enjoy the moment , respect the effort and become adults again

I don't get this rant....

Are you saying we should get back to the serious business of posting messages about skiing and stop talking about the Super Bowl?

I think people are just having fun with the game and have actually been quite respectful/not too over-the-top. We are talking about New York/Boston fans after all....
