Website and app are both not correct. Webcams show NRX and Summit are not spinning. Despite green dots on the website.
The website has a banner now on top of the conditions report that currently says Summit and NRX are on windhold. This isn't in the conditions report.

HG spinning 9:55 am.

I agree with Hawk.

Wind will again be an issue; hopefully calming down this afternoon.

Sun is REALLY nice...

"Wind Holds" were still classified as green dots from what I remember (and the text is now properly updating next to the list status as well and seems to confirm this). Personally I'd like to see a third color (yellow/orange) to indicate a hold, but then again, with the proper text back that's also good enough and the dots become somewhat irrelevant.

back from BC. love it out there.
relevant to our discussion, the first 2 days, the main lift at revelstoke named stoke didnt open until 11am due to cold. It was slightly below zero but little wind to speak of. That's soft.

I was in Montana and it was -34 driving to big sky. Got there it was -18 at the base and sunny with no wind(except at top of the tram). All lifts running. Opposite of soft.
Jackson hole was about -14 or so at the base but they had an inversion so it was single digit negative but windy on top . All lifts running.

From the last time I skied Jackson... whole week was full of powder days, but the last day was as bluebird as you can get and -17 in the morning. Not many people out (except for some brave souls who still queued up for the Tram for an hour) and the views were absolutely stunning.

Oh sorry...Sugarbush is cool on bluebird days too! (A little warmer in this pic)

So we heard from our neighbor that a kid fell off the Village Quad today. Does anyone have any news. Her kids are really anxious and are hoping they're ok.

i just love exploring mad river - might have to acquire it some day! although not gonna lie i keep barely missing death on these sketchy ass traverses atop cliffs. i'm gonna fall someday. idk why i look long in this photo lmao.
by the way, honestly insane how tracked out some of the stuff past paradise gets. still, the farther stuff gets literally 1/100th of the traffic but i am worried about how it'll be in the future. i really wanna cut some lines, too.

Ha that proves what my Warren-based brother-in-law has said about it - it’s more about saying you did it than having an enjoyable ski experience.

This YT channel gets little respect on AZ but I can’t resist posting this in the Sugarbush thread. Don’t know who could rip these lines properly but it sure isn’t this group.

Greg Polanski is rolling over in his grave.
This site gets no respect because that guy is a total poser. They are side slipping down everything wiping out the snow.

Nope Zero Respect.

I skipped around the video until I heard them describe the drop as, "a good 15' cliff drop". 🤡

What a bad look. Surely they would have scouted the terrain via youtube vids and saw the various drops and chutes. That's what I did and decided to stay the hell out of there. To just show up and be like "now what" while looking over a precipice is astounding. He may have explained himself at some point in the video but I watched without sound.

Yeah that video pissed me off, but I'm glad they had the decency to redact the entrance to poop chute (although it wouldn't take a genius to figure out where the entrance was from the footage beforehand). Saw it last night, skipped through because I did not care to see their skiing, although looking back it's pretty painful. They are literally running into trees. Can't even link two turns. Poop chute is brushy but not that bad. I mean, just look at their stance on some of the clips on normal trails/traverses. They are clearly not comfortable enough on skis.

i don't care about the church because it's a lost cause at this point lol. although, it does suck that it got ruined as i do have some good memories of it.

@Hawk Greg was a ski patroller who died of cancer right? Or just a local maybe? Tryna brush up on the lore.
