i went into a regular ass bagel shop on court street in brooklyn not so long ago and asked for a lightly toasted everything bagel with cream cheese, and i grabbed an iced tea from the cooler. it was $11. i almost declined to complete the transaction. i expect that at black seed (bougie fancy nyc montreal style bagel spot), not at random joe brooklyn bagel shop.

Is GMVS on Ellen right now? If so it seems like the question of "should they have pivoted to opening from the Summit lift" is unanswerable by anyone who doesn't know exactly what the rental contract says and when it was signed.
From a tour up MRG this AM, looked like a large number of people skiing on rim run, so assuming either GMVS or someone is training up there. MRG holding better snow than Bush. Good pow through their woods, lap through deep paradise woods had some good turns about 12" with a few scrapes and bangs every so often. No core shots, lower elevation pretty scrappy- Drainages pretty rocky, skied well overall treading lightly on the feet.

Toured up North ridge this afternoon and took a lap down Sunrise. Connected with some good rocky chunks throughout the lap, the 40+ mph winds last night did a good number blowing things around- pretty low tide on the natural terrain below the upper mountain elevations. Some snow making on bravo last night, not sure if it quite looks like enough to get valley rolling open.

Afternoon snow report says not enough snow on VH yet.

"Snowmakers have been busy on Snowball and Spring Fling; however, Valley House terrain isn't quite ready, and we hope to get it open as soon as possible."

If water wasn't an issue, they'd likely have a lot more down and maybe be able to open it by now. That's definitely holding them back for now unfortunately...

FWIW I just got an Email that MRG is going to open top-to-bottom this weekend.
Spent 5 hours skiing & skiing at MRG this morning, I do not think I hit any rocks or dirt today, coverage is really good & they have made a lot of snow to cover the lower routs out. Also seems like they have been grooming out the traverses to pack down all the runouts & transition areas.
All these years skiing there I have no idea where they store the water to make snow. The fan guns put out the product.
It's a tough snowmaking year for the Bush when MRG will have more terrain open.

Sugarbush might have the least open terrain of any open ski area in Vermont tomorrow including MRG and Magic...crazy.

Anyone try out 'The Tucker' for 'Coffee, Cocktails and Small Bites'?
I am going to miss the pastries from Nomad; they were awesome.

Was at Magic today. They have almost as much SNOWMAKING terrain as Sugarbush. And tons of natural - other than the extreme pitches all will open.

They advertise “the hike to terrain park” like this is a big deal. Pay for a pass to hike.
Guess you have to go with what gave.

I love SB, they added hike to terrain as total acreage. They probably didn't want to show 18 acres open

They've reported 53" so far this year. Is that correct?
If you add up every snowfall since October, could be. All but maybe the 18 or whatever is sitting on those untouched natural snow trails has melted

MRG says they have had 22-41"....go figure

6-8” last night and 4 days of run time still not enough to open VH. Bummer.

Hard to tell on cams, are they making snow on Spring and Snowball? Certainly not at base. Wondering if a problem beyond undersized snowmaking system?
