I'm with CD on this,... its a little too goofy
I hate to say this, but I fear that some of us are no longer "the desired" demographic for them. A lot of areas are working on getting younger folks and, gasp, some of us are no longer "young" in their minds.

I am definitely not part of that demographic! But think of who goes on the site to read the conditions reports,… it most us old guys.

They can use all cutesy terminology they want as long as the report is accurate. 2-4” INCHES was not.

Yea...not even close to accurate. MRG said 1-2" and I would have been ok with that base to summit at Sugarbush. Certainly possible the summit had 2 (not that we can ski it yet :) )

as the youngest member of the forum by far i can confirm that the sugarbush snow report is pure cancer. i love the mrg reports, the more brutal they are the better. im going skiing either way lol (in that im still not really the demographic).

also my weather app was BUGGING the other night, i SWEAR it said 15-18" for both waitsfield and warren. it's nothing today. rip.

Sugarbush is kind of weird. Part of the demo is the Claybrook, Ricebrook, Gadbrook and House owning crowd that Win brought in or were already here. People in the 40 to 60 bracket with lots of money. Just look at the Rumbles Crowd. Part is the younger crowd drinking PBR's or their own beer on the Plaza each night and the day tripers. Three totally different groups. I think the younger group is mostly disinterested in a snow report. Something like that takes too long to read. If they don't see something on the app or on IG or FB it's not relivant. I had this exact conversation with my nieces and nephews. Two of them came up last weekend and said "I thought the whole mountain was open?" They had no idea what was going on.

I hate saying these types of things because it makes me feel old (I'm 47) but the unawareness of the younger generations is very concerning. They have way more tools to be informed and are super locked into their phones yet are completely uniformed on lots of things...

you used to have to call a damn phone number to get the ski report! and sometimes the line would be busy!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Haha, today was nothing like yesterday for sure.all over. Still fun, I enjoy very technical low
Speed enduro skiing so I enjoyed Lixis and Moonshine, navigating the obstacles. They need snow, and crowds were super light too, skied right on Bravo all weekend. Natural snow is skied off to dirt already.
Turn placement was everything today on the natural snow trails, good practice.

Skied MRG yesterday. I did not hit anything on the trails, chute- lift line all were skiing great. Having the entire mountain open allowed for the wear and tear of skier traffic to Evenly set the mountain. Also their pre - season trail maintenance allows them to ski great with less snow. The trail edges have zero blow down etc. They also know how to pivot ( opened a week early)and their focus is on delivering customers the best honest product available. Sugarbush’s should learn from their neighbors. It’s amazing how MRG with mostly older lifts have far less issues with their certifications and scheduling.
