You're gonna make out well- Right now, US dollar = $1.43 Canadian. End the day with Kill The Banker. Give yourself a bit if time tho. longest 5000' vert I think I ever skied.

hell ya. this is a repeat trip. i was in banff and revelstoke with just so-so snow. lower elevations were not in good shape. hoping to get the full experience.

and ya my costs are insanely low. my hotel in banff i booked in like june and i dont think they had their winter rates set. i almost fear showing up and being told 'oh no, thats not right'.

my entire trip with flights, snow-tired turo, all lodging, is under $3k for 14 days (12 skiing days). and my lodgings are way nicer than my typical garbage motels. and my incidental food and weed will be bought in canada pesos

Cool. Madbush for Sunday to Tuesday was only $40 more than my WRJ shitholes. Looks like a decent new hotel room very close to SB, with decent enough on site food. Lookin forward to this next 10 days of mostly skiing
I think you will like it Kusty. They also have good cocktails. Not a bad place to mountain bike out of either. There is a bike shop in the bottom part of the building.

Zip/RR is open

Season can begin

Sorry to disappoint...but Rob Roy was in fact not open. 🤣

Other than that, ME as a whole was pretty good this morning (especially on the upper mountain). Nice to have a lot more options.

So much for their trail report this morning... they won't get my $7 for a slice of pizza today...

That's it. I'd say pack it up and head home. Not worth skiing. :ROFLMAO:

:ROFLMAO: no sir, just someone who appreciates a good spot to grab dinner and few beers...been a tough few years with places mostly going (rather than coming)
I'm not disagreeing and live right next door. They put in a good effort, for sure.

In line at 08:00 for Ellen. Stayed until 12:30. Found a few powder lines but mostly firm groomers, good start. Cliffs early, side of Elbow. Did a run or two with the monkey.

thats another thing. if i were to make a move for xmas it would be towards the PacNW

bachelor is the one thing i gamed out that bordered on reasonable and worthwhile

i think thats gonna be a general theme for the season. go north/northwest. not a year to play utah colorado new mexico and soCal games.
Most snow in the US resides in the PNW. Mt. Bachelor is doing great along with Crystal Mountain. They are calling for a lot of snow in the next 10 days. The temps are gonna be marginal and will give you heavier snow in the lower elev and somewhat drier higher. I’m a big fan of Crystal, if you hit right with snow. Only a few places at the base to stay.

ya crystal is awesome when it is firing. been a few times. a treat to stay on-site for sure, especially with the traffic/parking issues on that long dead end mountain road.

and ya, the heaviest most difficult fresh snow ive ever skied was at stevens pass. also the wettest rainy ski day of my life.

Summit felt faster than GMX when GMX was running at half speed... That was painfully slow.

Exterminator and Elbow today:

Nowhere now, but everywhere
In NYC. I’m going home between sugars. Domestic tranquility and all that. Ski half day Tuesday. Go home. Do Christmas. Go to Maine.
Wow. I guess NYC will do that to you! You’re my hero for your reckless abandon when it comes to driving for your fun. Stopped at Mad Bush for cocktails tonight on way back and checked out the sauna area. Bring your girlfriend on this trip and book the sauna… it’s nice!
