My wife was at LP today and said Bravo was down so they did VH to HG, then hiked over to CR, which had been groomed, strangely. She said the HG Traverse was pure ice. Later on they did the Slide Brook off NL but back to the village instead of going to German Flats. Trails totally wind-hammered but woods ok, despite lots of brush down.

I went to MRG to practice some tele turns but the double was scary windy (for me) and scoured to the base. From the lift I could see some nice areas in the lee that looked much softer. However, remember the old addage, "Looks good from far = far from good". Had a reasonable priced grilled cheese and called it a day.

Any word on whether North Ridge will be running this weekend?

With the wind this week I doubt they would have had any chance to do any sort of trouble-shooting that requires spinning the lift (which I would think a spacing issue needs).

Interesting...snow report mentions Steins up next for snowmaking. I would have expected Ripcord to be done first.

Up high woods firing on the more south and east facing aspects. Slidebrook still needs some time to fill in, no sanding on bottom road exit, main runs through the doors pretty low tide. Trails and more open woods quite wind blown. Hip deep drifts along long trail, pretty barren in some more open area. Guns started firing on Steins at about 1PM.

Saw GMX running again so took a chance.... just wanted a few runs yesterday was leg day. Cliffs and ULG were both pretty nice. RR wasn't bad but had a few patches of scour. Exit and run out from Summit chair was surprisingly ok, thought it would have been blasted silly. Did not see any activity in my drive by of NR. Full moon will occult Mars on Jan 13th so that's probably the one day it will run this coming week.

I don’t believe this for a second.
You should do some additional research then. That is literally the deal that's been struck. Alterra/DV operate the lifts/mountain while Extell invests all the capital for the base and real estate. Of course DV benefits by having a whole new village who are fully locked in to their mountain product, but they have no ownership stake in any of the RE.
