I just rode in the Granite State Wheelman "Seacoast-Tri-State Century" this weekend with the course weaving through MA-NH-ME along Routes 1, 1A & 1B as well as a few backroads, mostly along the coastal beaches....

The 102-mile course was not much of a challenge in regards to climbs and descents but the ocean wind was brutal...the weather was great and the views at the Nubble Light House and Fort McCray Park were splendid...

I look forward to it next year...how about you?

My wife and I rode it on a tandem about ten years ago. It is very flat, but a very scenic ride. Her bout with Grad school got us out of the riding groove.

Weight training, cardio on a step mill, stretching and core exercises are about all I have time for. Boring at times, but they do the job. We just got a load of new equipment at work and I might actually have some time to use it, now that the staffing is evening out.

Not long now. Can't wait.

SHM, this is a story you could probably appreciate-

4 years ago in my tech class, whilst spending the five minutes we did on water rescue, we went over the reach, throw, row, go deal... and then the instructor said-

"And there is the fifth and lesser known method, if you have a medic on hand, just have him go walk out and get the victim..."

;)

The rain is really putting a damper on my riding. So is the whole shorter day thing. I see people running the rain... screw that. I don't exercise to be miserable.... crazies.
