Not really that drastic.
Last summer I had the pleasure of losing not one, but two toenails (both big toes) during last year's FOT48.
Well' they've grown back in, but one of them too well. A severe case of ingrown, that no amount of DIY extraction could resolve. SO I went to see my trusty podiatrist, who helped me before.
"4 years ago, same toe, same side" he responded when I asked if he remembered my last visit. "How'd you lose them?"
I told him.
"Hey, have you read that book, not without peril?" The rest of the procedure was taken up by conversation of my exploits, as well as a review of the mishaps that occurred this winter. "Forget Washington in winter... you could die up there in Augusst." For one who's not hikled up there, he's aware of the dangers; better than some who have attempted.
So, if you are in the Rochester area, and need a good podiatrist, I highly recommend Dr. DInella out on Rt. 125. He's good, both at feet and and conversation.
