S6 and Middlebury are both objectively better run mountains in terms of operations, pretty much across the board compared to Magic. However, they do not have the brand following, nor do they have similar terrain (Midd is pretty rad IMO but it is smaller), so it depends on how you look at it.

Burke should have been included, but you can’t seriously be arguing that S6 and/or Middlebury should be ranked higher than Magic ?
I am saying that his reasoning for excluding Burke, S6, and Middlebury is complete BS considering that he includes Magic. I am not saying that S6 or Middlebury rank higher or lower than Magic. He just does not consider them at all.

Oh boy.....

It wont just be Park City, and it wont just be parking. It will be everything. Food, parking, beverages, lockers, rentals, lessons, tickets, you name it.

We're only in about the 6th inning of the life-cycle of a rollup company before it starts to deteriorate and gets broken-up into smaller parts via (usually) multiple buyers.

The next "news" I predict will be the new parking garage they build on top of the Cabriolet surface lot will be 100% pay parking, and with that there will be no more all-day free parking at Park City. Simultaneous to that announcement they'll slightly increase the bus service & tell you they're really doing all that to fight Global Warming.

On the bright side that lot definitely won’t be done this year and maybe not even next

With the performance of the stock lately everything will be going up and services will be going down. The bean counters will be squeezing every dollar they can out of the customers and cutting costs anywhere they can. Less lifts will be running midweek and snowmaking will be cut back. So much for "cheap" season passes. You have to pay to park to use them.

My solution....signed up as a part time teacher.
18 days...get free pass..wife gets pass for 40 bucks..free parking if I need it..food discount.
See how that goes..
Spent 25+ years doing that. Worked out to less than $3/hour for a 10 hour day in ski boots.
Got to a point where I only skied 25 days/year and they were all Patrol days....

After 31 years I hung up the Patrol jacket 4 years ago, and am now just a 60 year old Ski Bum, but I ski when I want not when they want
