Not sure of the environmental regs in PA, but I know that sometimes in VT, and area may "give back to nature" a trail or portion of a trail, if they have plans to cut something new/widen something, as often to create new acreage, they have to "give back" some acreage, especially if National Forest Service land is involved
Interesting but doubtful that could be a factor here as this short trail runs directly under a lift.

It’s really a non issue for skiers as it is only an alternate route about 20 yards long at the bottom of the mountain. It was just surprising to see all indications of it vanish.

I asked a patroller I shared a lift with about it and, oddly, she was not even aware of the change.

no they are not giving it back. Roundtop is on privately owned land and its a lift line and frankly not that interesting. It would take days less to make snow on that trail than upper gun barrel.

its not that I want the trail back or really care that its gone, its the point why they took it off the map.

Its currently open al natural but pretty beat to shit since they haven't blown any snow on it.

much of patrol at Roundtop is clueless to many things so this isn't surprising. There was definitely no chance any of them were "Scabs" in Park City LOL

The mold in the shower really is the responsibility of the tenants (it’s called bleach and basic cleaning before it gets to that point) everything else falls on vail
