God help me (even after reading this thread for years) that ticket write off promotion is making me seriously think of going Epic next year.

Haha

The one thing I learned working in the ski business? If you want to ski a lot, don't take a management job in the ski business. The two years I did it, were my lowest day counts as an adult.
"Awww, come on now! You know that is not true!"

I know plenty of ski area managers that ski a bunch, but for plenty more its sort of a psychological thing where you pass over many days when its right there in front of you, just because you know you can tomorrow easily. Then before you know it, the season is over and you are another year older. Jaded locals and such.

This was on the F&B side of things. Both ski areas were so perpetually understaffed in F&B that these were six day a week, 70+ hours per week jobs from December through early March.

Now folks in Marketing or Sales? They always had 5 day a week, 45 hour jobs and could also break free for lunch turns.

My experience managing F&B at beach resorts was similar. You barely had the time to enjoy the vacation destination you lived in.

Doing similar jobs in cities with a larger pool of workers to draw from was a much better work / life balance.

Inflation is more than 3.3%, what world are you living in?

Uhhhh......I mean, inflation is something we literally know, we don't have to speculate or guess.

YE25 inflation ran at 2.7%, and during January 2026 when I presume these figures were worked YoY inflation rate was 2.4%.

All I know is the email they sent out makes it sound like the price of my 14 year olds passes would be lower than last year. In reality the price is going up. Very annoying and deceiving. FUV!
