I vividly remember this storm, my brother and I drove his jeep up to killington from castleton early that morning. We saw quite a few people off the road on our way up and back from the mtn. We helped push some out on our way back down, but definitely no stopping on the way there. It was one of the better powder days that I remember on the east coast. Wish I had taken some pictures.

No pics, it never happened!

i can't find any old TRs with pics :(

Here is a quote regarding pictures from my TR: Fortune Race to Powder Combo – Smuggs & MRG – Feb 14-16, 2007

There is also no time to take pictures on a powder day. However Lucky Luke did that some extreme pictures and extreme snow, extreme gravity challenge and extremely exhausted. :)

Here's 2 pics (non-skiing). Cause on a powder day, no time for picture taking.

Here is another quote from the TR - click to read:

WOW!!!!

What a great way to end a week. Take two days off work and drive countless number of miles and hours in sometimes blizzard conditions to ski in deep snow and cold winding conditions.

I know some people at work that would call this an nightmare. I call it a dream.

Praying for Ullr to deliver another memorable Valentine...hoping he isn't to late.

I was at Sugarbush and MRG on Feb 11th and 12th that year... remember driving back and hearing about the feet of snow that were on the way 2 days later. I ended up getting all sleet at home (probably 8-10" worth) and having to live through the storm on here.

At least I got March 7th last year... 2nd biggest storm at LSC since the start of the Met dept.

Oh... and almost forgot Halloween this year... 18" untouched at Killington on trails like Ovation, Superstar, Downdraft, etc. Thought it was a nice preview for the season... guess not. :(

I don't remember this storm at all. It was the year before I picked skiing back up, and it probably wasn't a big storm in NJ.

IIRC correctly the Pocono's got the goods but not to the extent VT did. The 2nd half of that season was awesome including a big dump St Patty's Day.

Catskills got all 4 plus feet from it. I remember skiing that weekend at Hunter Snow was Utah finest of packed powder, it was GREAT:snow::snow::snow::snow::snow:

We got a good amount in Ottawa, I had a ski race that night then I drove to Montreal in order to ski Smuggs and MRG on the 15 and 16. See TR link for details.

There is, until today (unfortunately) a very strong relationship in snowdepth between the terrible start this season with 2007. See the Mansfield data.

Anyway, 2007 was the Best Valentine's Day Ever nd Start of a Memorable Winter!!!

Only hoping that 2012 Winter can finally show up and give 2007 for the running for a memorable winter for the good reasons.
