Ever have vertigo while skiing? Probably the only thing that has made me whoozy was riding the Slidebrook chair at Sugarbush and even that wasn't too bad.

Once got totally disoriented in a snowmaking cloud on Cliff at Hunter. Didn't know which way was up. Even though I knew exactly where I was, I had no idea.

Very disturbing.

BTW - this is exactly why they teach pilots to totally rely on the instruments and completely ignore what your body is telling you. It's called IFR and before they knew about it (the 20s) pilots regularly flew themselves right into the ground even though they thought they were straight and level. Amazing stuff...

No, but after a whale watch, the whole night I thought I was still moving up and down in the boat... like 10 foot sweels. I hate whale watches.

Early season at Okemo, I was doing laps non stop on Nor Easter and World cup. I was coming down so fast and the high speed quad was going up fast and was so bumpy that I was getting motion sickness. I had to stop and take a break at the summit lodge just to clear my head.

Fog--I hate that feeling.

Vertigo--I have gotten it on White Heat, Upper FIS, and Black Diamond. It is so steep that you feel your heart jump in your throat. Lots of fun though! I do recall going over the headwall of FIS on the short boards one icy day, holding on for dear life and thinking, "why the f%^& did I not use the regular sticks for this?"

I get it on very steep exposed runs...Tight steep runs like up on the rock no. I even went to a DR to try to help me with it and it has helped to a point. The best thing for me on those exposed runs is to just go and not take in the view.
