Allskiing tried to get that to happen last year. He blew me off.
What....Blew you off...me never. Really though I alway try to make that trip in the spring. Problem is the skiing funds get low that time of year so I just end up hitting VT. I will try again this year, I really miss the loaf. Who wants to go?

Misery Whip used to be a poma line if I recall correctly. Sorta like Powerline at Killington but significantly steeper. Those pics hardly do the pitch any justice. Here's me goose stomping from the top back in 2005:

Hard to believe a straight trail like that could have so much character, but it does. One of my favorites at the Loaf. Gawd, I gotta get back up there.

That trail is far steeper than Powerline at KMart. A great spring corn bump trail.

It's a poach but Pico has one of those where the poma used to run parallel to Giant Killer.

Love the Banana Boots!

Banana boots? Banana boots were late 1960's Nordica Astral Slaloms. The original yellow boot. If you were a fashion plate with a big bank balance, you had those and Volkl Zebras.

Those yellow boots in the photo are a much more modern boot. A Lange Tii from around 1985. I had Langes in every color of the rainbow dating back to black with a yellow cuff, several in orange, yellow, pink panthers, teal green, I just tossed a blue pair in the dumpster a couple of weeks ago.

Agree, Its way steeper then powerline. Infact powerline is not steep at all and last year not really even fun. They used to leave bumps on the thing...not so last year. I do believe power line is more narrow though.
Lower powerline is a ton of fun!!

I was lucky enough to ski lower powerline with AllSkiing and MadSkier back in April..I like how the best runs are reserved with a rope..

This year then, late-ish season so you have a good shot at the Sllides. It still kills me that Mad had to leave at noon on Sat., just when they opened the Slides for the rest of the weekend. Dang.

It kills you HPD that I had to leave? How do you think I felt having to leave on such a beautiful day? I had a suspicion they might open the Slides after I left, with the way the weather was changing.

Oh well, at least I got to ski for a good day and a half at WF. Missing the Slides that day now gives me a good excuse to head up there again this Spring. Not that I really need an excuse cause I really enjoyed WF.

We should put together an AZ outing at WF for late March/early April. Try to time it so the Slides might be open. Then the ADK guys can ski with the CLITS (& vice versa) and anyone else who can make it. Let's make it happen.

I'll be down for a WF outing since I haven't skied there in 11 years..maybe we can get Warp Daddy to join in the fun as well. Aside from shredding the gnar..a nice chinese downhill down the Skyward to the base would be fun....If my BMW buddy drove we could make it in 5 hours.

Yeah, that's him allright. Although it's been so long since he's skied with me ......

And now he won't even MTN BIKE with me either. Claims his bike is broken. I hope he's not just planning on throwing out the parachute.

Besides, he owes me $40.

We're heading up to WF 2/17-2/22. Prolly try to get another trip there in mid April like last year for the ghetto package deal, unless we decide to try another mountain.

I remember you said you paid $140 per person for 4 days and 4 nights or something like that..redonkulously cheap!!!!...

Great idea. Same end of march weekend you came last year. Slides, new terrain on Lookout Mountain, plus the Apple Butter mogul competition. Now is that a weekend the C.L.I.T.S. could love or what?

Will that Apple Butter comp most likely be on 3/29? As long as it doesn't conflict with the Sundown comp on 3/22, I'm down.
