I'm down for days at Platty.
Never been there but from reading reports last year I gather it's know for tree skiing ? So January might be a little bony ?Or does the manmade reach enough areas ?

Jay has the Jay Cloud, Platty has the Scotty Effect. Where, depending on wind direction, ashes from Scotty's smoking habit blow in from Roxbury and create awesome conditions.
I've been told that the smoke blocks out the sunlight and creates a cold micro-climate over Platty on weekends. Research has shown that Platty picks up about 10 inches of snow each year as a direct result.
