Did it work out? Did you get the boots?

Still waiting. It took them over a week to actually give me the coupon code, and then a good few days to actually ship it. Their on the way now tho. In the meantime, my sons using his old boots. Little tight, but they'll do for a few weeks.

Has anyone else noticed that their Rossi points total have gone up by 10 times and so has the cost of the prizes. It's like they added an extra zero to everything for inflation!

Did anyone get an announcement that Rossi is discontinuing the promotion?

I heard thru the grapevine that they have.

Seriously? Hope that $100 certificate I won won't be phased out before I get to use it. They awarded it right before the Rossi shop site went down for the summer and they assured me it would not expire.

Seems like there are less things to turn in points for in the Rewards Store now...

I got a gift card that I am waiting to use too. They said it would be good when they open up the store again in the fall.

Also noticed that they took a lot of the prizes down from the Rossi store. I hope that's jsut a temporary thing. In the meantime I started to use the Ride Snowboard search and win promo site.

You can check it out here:
http://ride.searchpw.com/refer/ski

They got a lot of good gear as prizes there.

Got the official word tonight in an email:

Dear Search and Win Participant,
Thank you for participating in Rossignol’s Search and Win program. We truly appreciate your support and interest in the Rossignol Brand. We have decided to discontinue the Search and Win program effective June 28th.

There were instructions for how to redeem points but I'm not sure what happens with those certificates. I sent an email for more details since there are still no products available for order on Rossi's shop site.

A second email came out.

Dear Search and Win Participant,

Thank you for participating in Rossignol’s Search and Win program. We truly appreciate your support and interest in the Rossignol Brand. We have decided to discontinue the Search and Win program effective June 28th.

Our records show that you have an outstanding coupon that has not been used yet.

To redeem your points please send an email to info@rossignol.com. The below info must be included to receive your item.

* E-mail subject must be: “Search and Win Coupon”
* Your name
* Email Address (must be the same email address you used to register for Search and Win),
* Mailing or Shipping Address (for larger items we will be using FedEx so will need your shipping address)
* Coupon # and value
* Item or Items you would like to receive for you points – inventory is limited so you are not guaranteed the exact product you choose. Also include sizes if applicable.

Purchase credit coupons can only be used for hardgoods equipment -- Alpine ski, boot, binding; Nordic ski, boot, binding; or Snowboards. Go to www.rossignol.com to see our hardgoods equipment – inventory is limited.

The offer to redeem your points expires September 1st, 2010. We apologize for any confusion or frustration that has been caused by discontinuing the Search and Win program. If you have any questions please feel free to email us at info@rossignol.com with the subject “Search and Win Question”.

Sincerely,

The Rossignol Team

That still is entirely pointless at this time. You can't redeem the certificate if there's nothing available for purchase. Even just viewing the products through their website is futile because no prices are indicated to guide one in their choice. And if you have points to redeem (which I have over 600), there are only stickers left.

If you've got 25k in points, they can be turned in. I've talked to Marjie McKone over at Rossi via email. She was very apologetic. Points can also be turned in for certificates at the same ratio as they where originally listed.

The promo was good while it lasted! I got a lot of really good free gear from it so I have no complaints.

I sent them an e-mail to turn in my remaining points for a Rossignol Backpack.

I switch to using the Ride search and win promo. I figure if I get enough points for a new snowboard I will have no excuse for not learning how to ride!

Here's the banner link to the Ride search and win site:

You can also sitll use Sessions search site too:

They are giving away a lot of free Sessions clothes and other gear.

Or you could just use the Swagbucks site and try to get Amazon gift cards:

Hello to all of our Rossignol Search + Win users on the forum,

We would like to start by apologizing for the sudden discontinuation of the Search + Win program this week. As you are all aware at this point, the prize selection in the store became extremely limited and, for technical reasons with our business systems, we are no longer able to support the Search + Win program. We understand that users worked hard to accrue points and apologize for any inconvenience or frustration caused by the way the site was deactivated.

We sent out an email to Search + Win users this Sunday notifying users of how to redeem your existing points or coupons. If you’re unsure of your points or the available items that points can be redeemed for, simply:

> E-mail info@rossignol.com, from the address you registered for Search + Win with
> Put ‘Search + Win Redemption’ in the subject line
> Ask your question

This offer extends through September 1, 2010, though items may ship after that date. The email you received from the Search + Win program should detail the list of prizes your point totals are eligible for. This redemption will be done directly through us at Rossignol, not through the third party who ran the Search + Win store and site.

Again, our apologies for any confusion or frustration caused by the discontinuation of this program.

Sincerely,

The Rossignol Team

How quick is your turn-around time for responding to emails? I sent mine 2 days ago with no response.

I think it depends on who you get. I suggested that Rossi post something here, which led to, well, them posting here. :-D

Now, gotta get Greg to actually make them an industry rep, like the rest of the reps.
