In an alternate (and better) universe I would have been in Denver yesterday to watch the Mets beat the Rockies to advance to the NLCS and today I would go skiing at A-basin before flying back to NYC.

Good call!

But unfortunately, plans changed and I can't go tomorrow. I have things going on in both the morning and the afternoon. :( I'm planning on heading up on Monday around 11:00am.

Monday?!!? I'm so disappointed in you! You were talkin' the game and it's like a wife thru the brakes on your plan and sentenced you to dinner with her parent's!

I know, I know. But I'm glad I didn't. Apparently there were some crazy lines for the chair, and tons of head-on collisions due to the sheer number of people on one thin trail.

Monday should be better......maybe........I hope.

Hee hee. Combat zone. Been there, seen that. You're right, it's usually not very fun. I would have been a lot better off there getting mowed down by some snowboarder though than dealing with the idiots in the K threads on here today though. Never again!

Holy crapola! Great link. Check out dude at the head of the line in the red hat. He looks like he beat everyone up to get to the head of the line for some reason... lol

The first several people in line camped out overnight Tuesday.

Well... I'm going to A-Basin tomorrow. But I might not ski

I'm working with a team on the new Montezuma lift haul rope splice. Did the one at Cooper today, and the splicer was looking for help tomorrow... so I'm definitely there! Might make a few turns if time permits. I still plan on actually skiing on Monday.

Sounds like fun. I'd be just as interested in that as actual skiing. Sad, I know.

Cool, I've always wanted to see a splice done first hand.

Well, based on both Loveland's and A-basin's webcams, it looks like they've got a nice snowstorm going...Loveland looks like it could open now.

The liftline at a-basin looks like a Saturday on the single at MRG.

A Basin is friggin' raking it in. No wonder they rush to be the first to open out there. Basin's lift line is stupid long today even (mind you it is snowing). Loveland opens tommorow!

Most of the A-Basin patrons are presumably passholders who get a four pass deal plus 10 vouchers for Vail/Beaver Creak...They're charging $45 which is alot for one run but if I lived in Boulder I'd be there like a Hobo on a Ham Sandwich..
