Is there anyplace within 100 miles of NYC that won't be a slushy iceberg tomorrow or Sunday?

Anybody headed off to Catamount or Butternut today? Just wondering what their conditions are like... Sundown (one of the closest areas to us) posted conditions as wet packed, which doesn't sound like much fun--especially if it's like what's outside my house right now. I'm hoping maybe even just a little bit further north isn't bad... Can't go too far away since we have a dog at home who can't be left for too long.
Thanks!

Anywhere with a strong commitment to grooming, and the ability to break up the ice and crust.

I suppose it's that time of the week when we need to start thinking about the weekend. So...any plans? I may not get out this weekend...

As of right now, I don't have to be back at work until next Tuesday morning! :D
Tomorrow will be spent at either Mohawk, Butternut, or Catamount. Friday we want to go, too... I was thinking of Berkshire East, but it might be too much of a drive considering we have to be home within 8-9 hours of when we leave to let the dog out. Sunday we're going to Powder Ridge. Jeep Appreciation Day, so as long as you have a Jeep, the driver and one passenger get free lift tickets.
Sorry to hear you might not get out this weekend, Greg. There's still plenty of winter left, though...

So...did anyone get out this weekend? I only saw one trip report. I stayed home and got some stuff done around the house. I won't be skiing next weekend either, however, on Sunday we are leaving for Loon. We'll be staying slopeside until Friday!!! 8)

I skied at Waterville Valley and I have to say it was the best day of skiing this season. The conditions were good and no crowds on Friday. I hiked to Mt. Pierce on Saturday with a group from VFTT and had an excellent time, even though I fell into a few spruce traps.

I skiied at Catamount on Thursday (I posted a report for that one) and Mohawk on Saturday (I did not post a report on Mohawk this time...didn't seem worth it, although it was surprisingly uncrowded even though it was Saturday and Valentine's Day to boot!). By the time Sunday came around, I was too tired to go again, so we missed out on Jeep Owners' Appreciation Day at Powder Ridge... Oh well, there's always next year.
Next Sunday we'll probably be going to Mount Southington. My father-in-law has 4 free passes left from the ones he got at Christmas-time as a tip from one of his clients, so we might as well use them up before the season is up. Nothing like free skiing! And now there's only 3 weeks left til Mad River Glen and Sugarbush! :D

Shawnee Peak in Maine next weekend

they may be a smaller family style mountain, but they have the snow, or lack thereof, figured out better than most this year. Plus my 2 for one vouchers don't hurt either!

Hey, Jon, I see someone else likes Sugarbush, eh? Yeh, MB and I have been meaning to get back there....so many mountains to choose from though. Having the Maine coupon books as well as the 299 pass to Sunday River/Attitash gives us a lot of options. Sometimes we just wing-it and see what happens.... :D

We are off to Orford in Quebec early tomorrow AM for 3 days, hoping to get a few turns in tomorrow afternoon after a 5 hour drive. Can't wait to get there - some neighbors just came back and said the snow was fabulous. Weather Canada says 3 days of sun, which is unbelieveable.......

Je rapporterai un plein rapport de ski. Laissez les bons temps roulez!
