if i were heading north this weekend with my son I'd be giving sugarbush serious consideration. personal preference, reporting good coverage, lift hours extended to 5 PM and i think they've reduce ticket prices for the remainder of the season.

Just a lil' highjack here, but my little thread in the trips/events forum may go unseen. I've got the day to burn 2maro & a slightly less interesting target area. But anything from catskills to killington is possible. Who's in?

I wanna ski this weekend. All my friends are lame ass golfers though. They're done for the year

I love the Dead also (going to Worcester next week) but the last time I went to K's Sunshine Daydream fest, all the bands were just playing during the day.. when I'd rather be skiing.

where to ski this weekend

If Sunday River is not too far consider going there. I am heading up on Thursday as I have a mid week ticket to use. Their intermediate trials we relatively well covered this past week. They have also lowered thier tickets to a Spring price.. You can pm me if you want me to let you know more Thursday evening.

It will be my last day and it is suppose to be the best day of the week. Sure hope so!
Have fun where ever you go!

Stratton Mountain in Southern Vermont is still going strong. Open daily and Sunday April 12 is their last day.

I'll second this one, I think I am going to break tradition on skiing @ Cannon on their last day of the season and go to SR.

I feel dirty....

ha. Feel dirty. I'll be there this weekend. I have made the last day at the River the last 5 years I think. I get the stay local thing to say so long.

I have made the Sunshine Daydream weekend at K before that has been fun. I want to ski this weekend, casue I'll be at the Dead Friday to Sunday Next Weekend.

Like most resorts in northern NE it's been almost winterlike weather up here since last weekend when everyone got some new snow. Once again, we have been blessed with more new snow so I think most resorts in northern NE as a result of the cooler snowy weather in the last 7 days or so, while not the warm sunny springlike days as some prefer, has extended the season for those resorts that want to make it to May. Which is a very good thing.

So I guess it depends on your personal preferences. Several great choices. Sat looks better than Sunday but still not a real warm weekend but the skiing/riding should be awesome.

Here is a pic of the Bush I shot a few minutes ago, still snowing on the upper mountain.
