Why I’ve Decided to Stop Counting

Oh trekchick, ouch....you've been hangin' with Phil and F'inn-dawg too much, Blue's snow is not as bad as they make it out to be...but for me its' kinda like sex and pizza - its always good even if it's bad....I count days so I make sure I don't pay more than $20 to slide down the cone

Yeah, I never really count. I usually just ballpark those "how many days" threads.

I can see writing up a trip report and looking back fondly as a good reason for counting.

But Counting for the sole purpose of out doing others=lame (e.g. I had 46 days last year and you only had 35!)

I count days just to compare all my seasons. I started keeping count in 2003-2004... that year my total was 21, then 04-05 was 27, then the past 2 years were 31. I don't go nuts trying to raise my count... if the weather is sh*tty (unless I'm on vacation) I stay home. Heck, 2 years ago I cancelled a whole Sugarbush trip because I was sick... I don't push myself to get high numbers.
