from the department of redundancy, or at least blatant knock offs, what was your first run last year. I have a feeling i'm about the only one who didnt get to taste that october powder. Mine was at killington, skyelark to bittersweet. Early dec or late november. Under the guns with no goggles. which would become a recurring theme for me last year.

flatlands of Mass.
Mine was at Crotched the day after Thanksgiving. Moon Walk/Meteor from the summit lift.

Since it was the only way down, it was surprisingly bumped up and crowded even in the morning. They opened up an additional trail in the afternoon which did a lot to reduce the crowd factor.

As a small area skier I figured that I was lucky to get to ski in November.

Sheesh. I'm not sure I remember. It was definitely opening day at Jiminy. Met HPD that day.

Ah ha - here's my trip report. Based on that it was probably West Way to Lower Glade...

Conifer @ Wachusett on November 25th in 4" of powder thanks to the Thanksgiving Clipper. Best opening day I've been to there. Hopefully it happens again this season.

Not sure on the date but it was the day after Thanksgiving at Whiteface. Approach to Mt. Run to Lower Valley. A full 2400 vert.

October 26th, Bolton Valley, Lower Fanny Hill to Abenaki (ran out of time and energy to hike any further, which is one of the reasons I've been trying to work more on conditioning this summer); photos in my Bolton photo gallery
