How did you find out about AlpineZone???

I found out about the site because Greg posts over on PASR. I currently read all the posts on PASR, AlpineZone, Teton Gravity, Epicski, The Ski Vermont Discussion List, and Paulas skilovers..If I can't be skiing..the next best thing is reading and writing about it..:daffy::daffy::daffy:

I stumbled upon it when researching ski areas to visit.

While I was looking up info about Hunter, I stumbled across the AZ challenge info, and found the forums on the website.

Ditto.
Specifically, I think Iwas looking for something that would list out how far ski areas are from home, and found AZ, which doesn't have what I was looking for, right before I found skidweeb, which did. AZ has more stuff, thoguh. And you guys.

I wonder why I don't spend more time at skidweeb...

Not exactly like skidweeb, but you can use the "Get Directions" button on the ski area popup. Just enter your zip.

Yeah, sure Brian. I actually brought Brian here! ;)

I found AZ I *think* from epicski. It was a long time ago so my memory is a little hazy...

I was looking for info on this AZ and I stumbled across Alpine Zone instead...

This brings up a good point. Does anyone else think AlpineZone.com deserves its own Wikipedia page by now...? TGR has one. So does NELSAP...

I was a member of the Whiteface/Gore boards since March 2006, but never really checked out the AZ boards for some unexplainable reason. When http://forums.skiadk.com/ was briefly shut down in May this year I checked things out over here....There was a great thread on AZ about the controversy that I won't dig up!! Aaaah, happy memories.
