This was Sunday in Chillan. Bluebird day but very windy so the top third of the mountain was closed. It was refrozen spring conditions and the wind had pushed enough powder down the hill to have nice quiet windblown in all the gulleys. Yesterday, only the wimpy lower mountain was available due to roaring winds on the upper mountain. Today was a big powder day. I'll try to grab some frames off the Canon camcorder one of my ski buddies was using today and put them up for some true gloating.

So you got me to look up ski areas down there. This quote.. I love..

"The Northeast face offers constant skiing of 35-45 degrees, on classic snow covered volcanic terrain and can be skied well into November."

This is a cool one from Sugarloafs site 10/15/07. I love the snow with the foliage.
