The $70 full day tickets are valid at both Wildcat and Attitash
Sounds like a good reason to jack up the Afternoon Cruise pricing. It was under priced for its demand and crowding out the full paying customers that saw the snow conditions take a big hit at noon time. Not saying I like seeing price increases but seems like a sound business decision.Jacking up the Sunday Afternoon cruise from $25 to $40 is going to piss a lot of people off. Place used to be packed Sunday afternoons, probably won't be now.
Doubt Black will benefit from this at all. It has been a long time since Wildcat has been a "value" ski area. I don't see the big deal here. The price was increased $4 and puts the Cat back up above Cannon (another area that is no longer a value area, IMO) by three singles.Peaks better deliver on the improvement side of things as they've taken the value out. I bet Black benefits greatly from this.
What was holiday last season? $66

Billski would for sure, especially if he could add in Cranmore for a Trifecta! Billski could even count Attitash/Wildcat as a Trifecta since it is three peaks. How many people realistically are going to start their day at Attitash then drive 25-30 minutes up the road and ski Wildcat later in the day?

I can see the value in season passes or multi day tickets being valid at both areas. Single day? not so much.

Wildcards, free birthday, and apparently lifetime passes were all discontinued as well.
Wildcat actually had to shut off its Fan Page from comments the other day. People not happy.
My hunch would also be that with respect to late season operations, Peak might not take the approach that they have with Attitash (a fixed closing date), but given Wildcat's already established late season reputation, more of a view like they have with Mount Snow, which has been, we'll keep spinning the lifts (atleast on weekends) if there's snow enough snow on the mountain AND enough skier/rider volume on the hill to feasibly warrant operations.
