They just put up on their FB page that they're delaying their opening from tomorrow (Friday) until Saturday. Kind of surprising given some of the photos of the mountain they've put up on their FB page the last couple of days. Just hope that there's not a lift problem again....

They are spinning it also.

UPDATE on Season Opening: Apologies to those who were planning a Friday ski day, but Magic's season will now begin on SATURDAY.

(This will make the 18-20 inches of new snow available to more of our faithful many of whom have to work through the week.

My initial reaction was that they want to groom out as much as possible to try and pack down into a base before the rains/warm up comes.
Gioven they only have 2 snowcats me thinks they need another day to do what they want.

Doesn't look like much of deal to me.Ticket costs$15 -17 more.Am I missing something?

You get a shotski with the lift ticket. The value is basically 1 free shot, as a shotski is normally $20. Although I believe they have a 5-banger ski, so a much better value than the standard 4-banger. If the 5-banger shotski is still around up there I'm sure you can convince the bartenders to use that

nice way to recruit new faithful clients

I get that but there is no way to spin this and I always give them well deserved praise. In fact, a few people were going to ski there on Friday because of my recommendation. It looks awful when you change your opening date with less than 24 hours of notice for no apparent reason. Based on the forecast, they would have gotten more visitors on Friday than Saturday. I had hoped they learned some lessons from last year but I'm not so sure.

Yeah. Thanks for the recommendation based on the 1/2 price tix for NH residents. Nicely done. :unfriend: ;)

At least I found out before I pulled in the lot. Another time I guess.
