Kid was "pushed off" the north lift yesterday. He is in Albany med. Had to have fallen 30 feet,

gotta love the crowd Vail is bringing in!

The Hunter crowd was special in the 90's. I don't think Vail changed that aspect much.

Last time I skied Hunter a guy in a Camaro gave me a free lift ticket. Ok, I'm not sure if he had a Camaro. But it was definitely Hunter. Around the time Kusty was in high school.

Great day at Hunter today. 4" of fresh pretty light snow 6" by the timenthe opened North side. Snowing hard all day and conditions likely getting everything better than when they opened apart from first tracks run. No lines either. 14 runs so far. Going back out for more.

Stayed 5 miles away last night for $65 at "Snowed Inn".

I skied hunter..and still do if I'm in ct for 28 years now..I never had a problem there..learned to ski steeps, moguls, and even some deep pow..8 feet one year..
Then I would leave and not deal with the nightlife...that's where the real crazy shit went down..

Hunter back in the 80's was crazy and I called it "Killington South" with the apres ski (Bar at the lodge was great). I know a lot of people who don't care for it (my wife being one) but as a mountain, when in decent shape, its got some good stuff on it. Always loved the morning sun on that wide open face just below the former summit double chair mid station (dating myself now).

Had a real late start to the season due to circumstances. Noticed they narrowed the right side of hellgate right below where 42nd st fork off. Usually I take a fast sweeper from left of hellgate toward the right edge in that area where I noticed the trail just disappeared and had to really tighten my turn so as to not drop down toward the trees. Are they getting lazy with spreading the snow around?

Also noticed twilight and racers were not opened yet. Did it melt down during some warming or did they not bother with the more advanced trails?
