Any word the rumoured talk of lift upgrades? Such as upgrading and extending the B? Or grading the road next to Drop-off for access to the north from mid mountain? I know Mt Snow and Okemo got their millions in capital improvement last year, so the cash should be spread to Hunter this time around, unless buying that 'Employee' housing on the main road used up Hunter's share of the money.

Were the new guns that were supposedly installed ever put to good use this year?

What Hunter doesn't need is more uphill capacity. What it needs is a complete snowmaking system upgrade, unless of course what Hunter's snowmakers have been saying about snowmaking is complete bullshit!!
The last thing hunter needs is upgrades to the mountain - it will just bring in more people and it is over crowded and dangerous now. They need grooming, mold removal, snow making, and employees.

no north or west side open today. light crowds, they did a great job of farming, but by 11 there were slim areas on the lower trails to get down..Kennedy, belt and drop off. not worth it, I was done by noon, no entertainment - local DJ brought his own stuff and Vail shut him down... beautiful sunny afternoon, disgruntled long time regulars.

Belleayre had pond skimming, deck party, music........

go home or Belleayre
Thanks - did get a room a few miles from Hunter. I do see I could get a $43 Belleayre ticket by showing my Epic Pass there. Could try a few free runs at Hunter first before making the call about going to Belleayre. Had considered driving up to Snow as well, but gas tolls and extra drive time would be more of an outlay than $43 at Belleayre. And haven't been there in ages.

Bagged Hunter plan based on advice received. On Belleayre Gondola. First time I have ridden this (or been to discovery lodge) as have not been here in at least the 5 seasons I have been getting season passes.

Importance of the Guest Experience

Skiing is all about the hospitality and service industry, and Vail understands that. Vail Resort’s business model reveals it is not much different than other models within the hospitality and service industry. However, Vail Resorts has important objectives when looking at the future. It is focused on: retaining its current guests, providing them with the best guest services in the industry, creating and developing first-time-guest opportunities, mitigating waste and maximizing resources, setting objectives and goals for the future, ensuring profitability and return on investments, and investing in their guests, employees and resorts moving forward.

I just saw on the Hunter Ski Bums page on facebook that the zip line is now closed.

Confirmed on the NY zipline website - says permantley closed.

On Sunday they had signs up that they were hiring -

Anyone know what happened?

Didn't Vail have someone die on one of their ziplines? They probably are getting out of the Zipline business.

Hunter's Zip line is not run by Vail. It is NY zipline company. Slutzky family had a lease and Peak and Vail honored it. Rumor now is that NY zip could not justify their insurance.
