I have not seen those, but I have heard of an Airboard. I am trying to find a ski area that rents them around here.

Cool

Pretty wild looking go unit.

I'm too old to learn new tricks.

Everytime I see one on the slopes I can't help but wonder what would happen if you were hit by one of those flying peices of metal. Just the mom in me I guess.

They are fun, I used on at a PSIA toys workshop at loon a few years ago. I wouldn't give up my skiis for one but would jump at the chance to ride one for a few hours.

Sugarbush rents the snowscoot also H@O valley(limited trails) and stowe will let you ride one whever you feel like....even if you are foolish enough to take your chances risking like and limb on the goat...The snow scoot is REALY easy to learn, I got to master  one in about two hours in the woods down here.
I will be up at stowe athe end of march with Two of them (but mostly skiing)...if any one wants to give it a go PM me.
Here is a lonk-o for them....

I friggin love the humor on this board! I was just wondering if it was self-effacing humor or if he was serious. Plus when you look at his signature, it sounds like, "Damn if I wanna have a shot at the tix I gotta make some posts. OK, well here goes..."

This is great stuff!

Yes sir it is..
there is a little story behind the name...WAY back in my USSA/FIS raceing days. I was at a race out in vail. being late I forgot my parker and did not have time to go back to Avon and retreve it. so some guy(now were are great friends) had this old beat up NY jets starter jacket in the back of his pick up truck, The zipper only ziped up half way and the snaps were also in a non working order. So I showed up to regester and pick up my bib and the woman told me that "This is for racers only" :argue: Thinking on my feet I wipped out me USSA card And showed her my resept and said
"I'm here to represent the great state of Joisey"
So I'm up at the start buffing out the wax on my skis and the same thing happend"You will Have to leave, this is for racers only" :argue:
So I picked a finger(guess witch one) and showed him my bib....
Btw i came in sixth in the GS...Whooo-Hooo. and the rest of the day I was proud to sport the starter jacket (the looks I was getting on the lifts were priceless)...LOL!
Paul/SJR!
Ps I :flag: don't ski/ride with one

Ski can..no worries, they have a runaway strap/teather(sp)? that won't let them get away from the rider.
they are easer to learn and get good at than skis or snowboards.
if your in the way I'll make sure my hit will be as painless as possable(just kidding) :dunce:
