Yeah - you should be able to edit your own poll yourself. Anyway, I added the option for you.

I understand the financial return-on-investment is reasonable, however, none of the ASC areas are close enough for me to consider a season pass to ski six or more times in a season. I don’t enjoy driving for more than 90-minutes one-way for a day-trip anymore. Over the years I've learned to appreciate the diversity of areas that are close(r) to home.

At this point it will depend on our budget as to where we go. We'll have Ascutney, Burke, Suicide Six, Dartmouth, Pats, Sunapee, Okemo, K-Mart, and Sugarbush to chose from that are within a reasonable distance....just wish Burke was closer.

I was an ASC All East Passholder in the 2000-2001 season and it was worth it...especially since I had Kmart, Pico, and Sugarbush on my pass and within a 45 min drive from School. In 2002-2003, I had to go with Burke/Jay and SB though...like SB more than KMart.

Its about 40 min to Killington from 89 in Vermont... Thats the upper valley. Ascutney is 30 min from 89/91 junction. Tough decision. I think the deadlines are a little more flexible with College passes anyway. I wonder if Dartmouth offers a college Pass at the skiway. Are they affiliated? that might be cool.

YES. Middlebury and Dartmouth Colleges own THEIR own ski areas. How cool is that? :D :D This explains why the two are ski racing powerhouses. Both do offer passes to students at good rates and very low rates for locals and others. HOWEVER, the season at both is quite short...like mid December through Mid-Late March when the ski racing season ends  Both have just renovated their ski lodges as well...very nice ski lodges.

Midd has two doubles and a triple. 1000 vertical drop. Read my profile on the Snowbowl on this site

Dartmouth has a couple doubles I think and a quad. Similar vert.

I use to race Doug Lewis at the Middlebury snow bowl. That was many moons ago and ya I never came close to beating him.

Ok, so here's a silly question: Is there any tax added to the price of the All for One Pass or will I be paying that flat amount. I'm thinking because they are providing a service and not an item, there will be no tax....correct?

I bought mine on line no tax. I bought mine from Sunday River. Not really sure how it works everywhere. Edit I bought mine from my desk in Boston.

It may depend upon your home zip code...sometimes I'm charged tax for online purchases, sometimes not...

Lift tix and season passes, at least for me, rarely have sales tax applied.

I believe that I paid sales tax on ski tickets & season passes in VT & ME. It's always been part of the ticket/pass price. NH dosen't have a sales tax for lift tickets/passes...only on lodging & restaurant items...

The other thing that is interesting about ASC is that it started out as having a reputation for aiming at the high rollers with $$$...they were trying to sell season passes for $1-2k and it wasn't working because many of those high rollers will ski OVERSEAS or OUT WEST if the conditions suck.

Times have changed...now ASC is about skiing for the masses at cheaper prices for passes...interesting.
