I'll admit it.
I'm a creature of comfort.
I take my boots to the hill in a heated boot bag. I carry them to the lodge where I use the bathroom, then sit in a cushy chair to boot up, with my toasty warm boots(and gloves/mittens which also have their place in my heated boot bag).

I can, and do, boot up in the parking lot if its necessary, but those occasions are very rare.

:)

Duct tape a notched hockey stick handle to the clutch on a standard so you only have to press the gas and brake with your right foot and steady the wheel with your left leg while shifting.

Getting injured WHILE skiing was bad enough, I think I'll pass on foolishness while getting to and from the hill.

50/50 here....depends on the area and my mood for the day. Lately I've been booting up more often in the lodge it seems though.

The perfect set up is middle gondi lot at Stowe. Ski too and from car for easy tailgating all day.

Don't understand the MIDDLE Gondi lot. We'll park at either the upper or lower. The upper if we're going to go into the lodge to boot up, etc. and cut thru the maintanance garage to stop by the car on the way back. The lower lot most of the time. The skies are off already for the next gondi ride. In wich case we booty up at the car. And I like fresh socks too.

When I lived in town, the middle was where we'd always park...easiest to cut around the Midway and ski on over to the car and then has the slope to ski down and over back to the side of the building the lift line is on for the gondola.

I like the lower gondi lot if I'm a late arrival to Stowe..after 8am on a weekend..flat short walk to the gondi/tickets..and ski back to the lot at the end of the say..and I'm not so anal about socks..what sucks is when I go skiing after work..my shoes are sweaty from 8 hours in them..my feet sweat a ton and I change into ski socks and go right back in my sweaty shoes..yuck....but I deal..because my feet sweat a ton in ski boots as well..sorry if that turned off any of the hot ski-bunnies on here with a foot fetish..:smash:

I like the Stowe lodge to suit up in. Nothing like classical music to start your day and Jeeves to bring me the paper. :flag: Gotta love AIG.

+1. I've never been attracted to booting up in a car. Too many ways to lose things. Agree with all except the heated boot bag. I just leave the bag in the heated cabin of the car.

So you then ride the Over-easy all day?

Lift line? From the lower lot, just use the back door and your right there for the next gondi. As long as you don't mind the singles.

You got it! The two behaviors can live in perpetual discordance quite handily!

it happens..I have hated on Blue mountain in the past..and apparently if you stay at Claybrook at Sugarbush in a 500 dollar a night hotel room you wake up to heated boots..for that much money..I'd expect a happy ending..lol..

Don't tell anybody!!!....I love the staggered opening for slacker days when I don't show up until like 810AM..710AM is ideal for freshies on the Forerunner but that organic Sunshine vodka leads to non-organic hangovers..

Where I live the 2 major ski-shops do not sell "Cat Tracks" which slip on the bottoms of your ski boots to save the soles of your boots.

Finally I got an employee to admitt that the reason they do not carry them is so people will have to buy new boots sooner. I bought a pair of cat tracks on the net.

you can also replace the lugs

believe me - its not dangerous to drive in ski boots... Take it from Geoff...

buckled or unbuckled?

there've been a few days when we skied k and k sucked so we hopped in the car and drove to pico in ski boots. just unbuckle the boots, push the driver's seat back a bit and i'm good. getting pulled over however isn't recommended ...

Are you serious? This sounds quite dangerous.

It is far safer than driving drunk, texting on a cell phone or shaving while driving and i wear my seat belt. I used the hockey stick rig to get around with a standard truck when I had a broken leg. I used the same set up to drive to the hill with ski boots on.

Something tells me you aren't going to like the way I rode my motorcycle with a broken left hand using a length of twine tied to clutch lever and around my right shoulder. By moving my left elbow back the clutch lever was pulled in so shifting was easy. I stopped working construction to get away from the injuries.
