Indeed. I booked 6 days vacation at Attitash starting this weekend and it is looking very promising. I shied away from pre-Xmax vacation ski trip for a couple of seasons. The last time I did that, I ended up driving up to Brettonwood in 50+ degree weather in treacherous rain.

I'll see you there on Saturday!

Fantastic start but 95/96 I skied Tuckerbrook at Cannon on the first weekend open(Thanksgiving). This runs down the backside of Cannon. It was as much snow as I have ever seen in there. There were huge blowdowns in the 13 turns area and we actually could not tell which way to go to follow the trail. We had to burrow under 4 feet of snow beneath large trees to find our way through.A little scary since this area is not patroled and it was almost 4:00 pm.Looks pretty much like the same start but caution is in order. It almost always rains x-mas vaca week and of course there is the dreaded January thaw. The difference is how long the warm-ups last.:puke:

colder than normal with above avg snowfall region-wide
can't complain about that.

a regional anomaly is hardly evidence either way for Al Gore's global warming.. and it is a crappy un-stoke-worthy debate anyway.

Just enjoy it!

Right now we have a slight lead against the best season ever. (1968-69)

Since they starting keeping records on Mt. Mansfield there has only be two times when the snow pack was deeper on this date.
