Discounts - Don't Be Shy

I've had a couple of AZers who've stayed lately and not mentioned the AZ discount or connection because they don't want to seem rude or pushy or whatever even though they clearly knew about the discount. I've only found out by accident. Sometimes after the fact.

The thing is, I offer almost no discounts--no AAA, no senior discount--as I prefer to keep my prices the same for everyone. If I do offer a discount, I'm serious about it and have good reasons, so just come right out and say, "Hey, this is so-and-so from Alpine Zone," when you make your reservation so I can give you the $10 off per night. It's not rude or pushy, I like to know, and I'm happy to give you the break.

The couple from Indiana who complain about roads in Vermont, show up in a Mercedes, and then whine about senior discounts? Not so much.

i can vouch...we showed up to the King very late (or early morning) one night, think I got him outta bed, said i was an AZ'er...hooked us up with a great rate and a suite that was tremendous.....thank you!

almost forgot, my first visit there i didn't ask for the discount (didn't know to ask). after we were all settled on reservation and pricing Michael asked how i heard of their place and when i told him AZ he re-did the reservation at the lower price.

I did feel bad when the rate two weeks ago was so great! But I still asked! and the rate was even greater! Thanks for the discounts. When I want to stay in the valley, and I cannot stay at my friends your on top of my list! And the hot tub is great!

definitely a mountain to hit. rode the mt.ellen portion on sunday 12/27 with a bit of rain and still had a great time. mountain skis reaaaallllyyyy long! took multiple breaks on top to bottom runs.

When I've stayed with him, I was happy to pay his posted rated. But... M. insisted I take the discount. What a reverse problem to have. On the radar again this year!
