lol my guy I started seeing phish on 10/7 and 10/8 1999, when I was in 9th grade. Then I was at RCMH, and 12/31/02. Then I went to college.

Yea, I got snow tires, realize how valuable they are for someone who drives as much as I do up north, and now tell others they should do the same. Shocking, one learned from their own experience and try to steer others to make good decisions.

Get a life, lurker.

One cool Rd you should check out is Hurricane MT Rd. It goes from the Red Parker a Pub to Maine. It does get closed when it's too icy. But I think they try and keep it open these days. Much like Tripoli Rd south of Cannon. (Which is all ways closed on Winter.)

It's a great mountain pass and time saver. It feels like a roller coaster at speed...
Hurricane Mt road closes at first snow or ice and remains closed till early may every year.

You also have to get lined up with new vehicle purchases. If you are going to do two sets of rims do it right away, when you buy the car.

If you are a flatlander no way the two sets of tires last as 2x as long as one set. Even in a snowy year you'll run your snows 90% on dry pavement, much of it warm. They don't last.

I've been on all seasons for 20 years. Going to two sets next season when we move to the Adk.
Living in NJ I put snows on one vehicle (the AWD Subaru) and drive the other one (a beater 2011 Crown Vic) when I do not need the extra traction

First saw Phish in 1990 when I was one of 12 people at their first NC show (Cat's Cradle) and saw them in clubs about 20x those first couple years. A few times I brought my Nak and plugged it into the board.

Don't go so often since they got huge. Last show was 17 months ago at Mann.

Doing the 2 sets of tires thing, with my snows on from roughly Thanksgiving until roughly Easter (or somehwre around April 1st) on average, and then my all seasons the rest of the year, I typically get 3 years out of my snows and 4 years out of my all seasons, and that's with a cummulative annual driving mileage average of 22-25k a year.

Same here. Been doing it for 35 years.
Stopped last Fri to see if the speeding Range Rover in the ditch needed any help. Nope they were just stupid and speeding on slick roads

Wifey came up 2 hours later and they were just getting pulled out by a wrecker

Saying they were driving a range rover and that they are stupid is kind of redundant...

but what state was on their plates???

one of the worst parts of moving from nyc to jersey city was the fucking license plate.

first off, its the worst shade of yellow possible. it is the yellow of urine.

secondly, its just a fuckin tell. with a new york plate, i could at least 'pass' up north. maybe its silly, but i think license plate judgment is very real, and nj gets it a whole lot worse than ny.

side note - nj people - do you kow if the state still offers the blue plates? which also happen to be the ugliest possible blue. i like delaware plates. yellow on solid black.

Only those from NY think NJ gets it worse...
