Dave Murray Downhill is tough to beat... that is THE trail I first made solid parallel turns and things clicked for me. That was back when there was the "Olive Chair", (a center pole double) and a small 4? person gondola out of there. Probably around 1993... Peak to Creek wasn't even cut at that time. Next time I came back there was a HSQ (Quicksilver Express?). Then I guess that had an accident where someone died, and they installed the current gondola there.

Favorite cruiser? Nope. Sorry. I don't do those.

But if I had to pick, I'd say Upper Rim Run -- Lookin' Good -- Which Way -- Crackerjack -- Sugar Run -- Bottom of Straight Shot at Mt. Ellen. Yeah, that's a bit convoluted. But you know... when you ski there 100 days in a season, you learn some interesting routes. :D

That entire route is flat..................

BMM: That route is flat. A much better cruiser at ME is simply Elbow-Cruiser. That is the combo that utilizes the verts on the hill: 1700 for that section. For LP it is Rev Traverse-Snowball-Ravena's-Lower Snowball. The better high speed run is OG top to bottom, tuck the center flat section................or if you are really looking for "fun" it is the FFF or the 4 pm Full FIS. This is the run that really shows the bush's vert. Ski a full day at the bush, grab the 3:45 summit chair (it is a nice slow double, very good on a cold Jan or Feb day) and then ski FIS to Rimy to Lower FIS to the bottom. Ski it non-stop and the legs burn all the way to the Tav..................

Ummm... wait a minute. Since when was the pitch a consideration in choosing my own personal favorite? I like it because, first off, fewer people tend to take that path; secondly, it's more interesting than the over-skied typical Elbow-Cruiser; thirdly, I just plain like it better.

Elbow-Cruiser is way too wide, way too busy (relatively speaking), and way too boring.

But since you'll never really find me cruising anyway, what does it matter?

Andy and Bush, both nice picks. So many different great routes you can take at either Ellen or Lincoln, it's to come up with a favorite!

Pole cat at Wildcat. Terrain just lets you cruise and take in some of the most beautiful views. Easy run and I can live happily with that.

It might be too short of a run to be called a cruiser but I do love Bunny Buster at Killington.

It is always fun to bomb down it. And since it is often closed for racing it usually has good snow on it.

While not a trail per say, if you lump bunch of trails together you can get what I think is one of my favorite cruiser runs at Killington.

Start when you get off the K1 gondi by taking Great Eastern to Launch Pad to Superstar to High Road all the way to the Skyeship Gondi. Its a long fun run.

Polecat is a great, long cruiser and holds snow well. I enjoyed skiing it several times the last weekend of the season with Bobr, Snoseek, and Snowmonster.

Tote Road is a classic cruiser. I remember being afraid of Chicken Pitch when I was really young. Binder, top-to-bottom (when it was) is a fun cruiser with lots of twists.

Pretty much everything of North Peak at SR is great for cruising. It's fun to let 'em run on Dreammaker. I also think Right Stuff and Rogue Angel are great cruisers at SR.

Sunset 71 and Upper KA at Pico
Elbow, Panorama and Cruiser at Sugarbush

the list can go on....

i've always considered runs like perry merrill & gondolier at stowe to be great cruisers. 2000 ft of just letting 'em rip. at k, first thing in the am, skye lark>bittersweet & skye burst>bear claw can be also be great cruisers.

Any blue at Sunday River

Damn, I gotta get back there...what about April 30th and May 1st this year?

Yep, that's what I think too. Some blacks with good snow, as well, but we really like Jordan Bowl with Rogue Angel and Excalibur. Obsession and T2 are great ones as well.
