Glad I'm not the only one. I was waiting for the elevator to go down to Niagra falls last year in a group of people ...in a plain white room...nothing to see....just a waiting room for the "ride". There's a 20 something year old middle-eastern guy in line videotaping EVERYTHING in the room. I pointed this out to the people I was with and they were like "what's your point?" Again...J.C. !

Living in Buffalo and going to niagara falls regularlly, id me more suspicious if he wasn;t video taping. Everyone there is a toruist to the max and video tape/photograph everything. you might not notice it if you dont go regulararly, but go there a handful of times and you see the trend. I was in NYC visting my girlfriend at NYU, some middle eastern couple asked us to hold his video camera him in front of times square and he said some arabic words into teh camera, im sure he was a terriost too. Even my suspicious/cynical self sees no problem with it.

As for my bags, ill leave my loaf of bread sized bag under the table, but it usualyl only has a junky sweatshirt and my sneakers in it. I kinda want it to get stollen so i dont have to carry it. I do enjoy stratton;s service though, then i can bring nicer stuff into the lodge and have it handy.

Well...for a start...I would have to be American to get a law passed. I don't think people should have to try to get laws past when something is a problem anyway....I'm sure a grass roots petition presented from the skiers of the major resorts to the major resorts would be enough to spark change...I was looking to spark fire in people's hearts about a problem to create intelligent conversation about what we could do to solve this problem without dictating what I think the best way would be to go about it. Instead I got insults ("just imagine..some day this guy may have kids") and a collective burrying of heads in the sand by some of the more intelligent people here. I had to explain what could very easily happen and the result (heck...it could even be way worse than that) for people in here who just aren't capable of theorizing or grasping that event actually has potential to occur. The fact a lot of peoples thought's of terroism begin and end with a dumb catch phrases like "Fear makes terrorists winners" made this clear to me.

and they say americans are self absorbed..okay now i am insulting you lvnlrg.

yes, i was reffering to the OP that talks about the kid in the fight. for you to immediatly assume that i was talking about you is rediculous. get a grip!

and..... i do not believe that EVERY middle eastern male ithat is videotaping is doing it for terroists reasons. did you notice how many white tourists were videotaping?..probably not.

Last time I checked this thread was about the young adult being a jack-ass at Sunday River, not about you. The user in question was simply replying to the original post. Chances are that he/she didn't even read all the way to the 4th page.

yep..didn't need to read to page four. the thread was about the jackass..not lvnlrg

there is no reason for insulting people on AZ. disagree with opinions, but insults are uncalled for regardless of what someone else said.

no there isn't but if someone is going to get their panites in a bunch...it might as well be for a reason.

As I already stated...He was taping an empty white holding room (that one waits in for an elevator) ...NOT the Falls or anything of any interest to a tourist what-so-ever. It made no sense. When someone is doing something that doesn't make sense...that's your fist clue that you have a problem.

Actually ..not one person...cameras all shouldered...that was the point...it made NO sense. He was also by himself at a tourist attraction. I notice everything about everyone and everywhere I am.. thanks. I wish I could just go by a "USA...we fear no one" T shirt and walk around oblivious to people with wires sticking out of their sneakers like youself though.. Who do you work for ? The TSA ? lol

As i stated before, going there regulaly I have seen people tape everything. It is about as interesting as a white wall to white people, but foreign tourists love everything including white rooms while on vacation. Sterotyplically speaking, asians and indians/southeast asians love to video tape stuff. Plus, why would someone want to blow up that little tower thing? It would have much impact value as someone blowing up a cemetary.

I don't know...I thought about that too. It's sort of an international monument? On a busy day in the summer they might be able to inflict harm on 1000+ people though too ? We might not be thinking bout the same thing as I think there is an attraction on either side of the border...I was at the Canadian one?

No problem....I figured as much as I was told the Canadian attraction was a lot larger(never been to the American one). The day I was at the Canadian one there were maybe 200 people around the elevators/tunnels and that was like February! I would think it would be pretty dense in the summer. It really irked me as that place is a bit scary before you even think about what it would be like in the event of a bomb (With the elevators, tunnels and the whole underground feeling and all)
