There have always been a lot of threads on AZ asking what are your skiing goals for the up coming season. While I think there’s something to be said about being happy with your life just the way it is, I think most people think goals are good thing.
I’ve read some on here over the years that are small personal goals like skiing more days, going to a new mountain, earning a gold medal in NASTAR, skiing a double black…etc.
I’ve read others that if achieved could be life changers, moving West, opening a ski shop, buying a house or condo in a ski town, building a house in one, changing careers to accommodate proximity to or allowing more skiing.
What this thread is about is how to we go about achieving these goals, both big, small and in between. Do we actively plan and make changes in our lives that are geared to making them happen or do we just kinda hope they’ll happen on their own over time.
There was a guy (can’t think of his name..dang) who posted for years on hear about his desire to retire and relocate to Salt Lake City. He use to lay out his plans in his posts which I found interesting to read. When he made the move I remember feeling really happy for him even though we never met.
I’ve pursued some ski related goals pretty aggressively; a couple have been realized one I’m still working on. Then there are others I just let slide and hope they’ll happen. If this thread goes ok maybe the descriptions will fit in later. I don’t want this post to get too long or be about me.
So do you get after it or sit back and wait and see?
