As long as he's not like this person I don't mind/care either...

Scary.

And as crazy as the guy who drove to Texas to burn the guy's trailer is, Mr. Haunted House is hardly innocent and seems to have messed with the wrong crazy person. So he got some of his own medicine.

Nowadays, people go for the jugular and ask questions later.

It's actually morphed into an East Coast v. West Coast skiing thread. Highway Star became almost an afterthought after page 3. Anyway, I join your prayers for snow! Any more of this heat and I'll turn into an old woman!

* Stopping myself from making a Monty Python reference which I am sure dmc will quickly pick up on. *

Maybe you should consider actually reading the thread instead of counting the number of pages or just looking at the pictures.

I'm done with summer! Can't wait till Fall! I hate summer when it's like this: 95 hot and humid in Joysey!

I couldn't be less serious.

But you have to admit the guy who drove to Texas to light a trailer home on fire is pretty crazy.

What is even more fascinating is the fact that GrilledStreezeSandwich has not graced this thread with his wisdom. Could there be threads where I could post and be safe from the kid???

You wish..when I have a long minute..I'll read the thread and find out about Highway star..why doesn't he post on here anymore????

I used to believe the East Coast is better theory until I started spending most of my time in the West, and have become a far better skier. Steeps, mucho vertical, good snow, long seasons etc. is the stuff that will make for a better skier, not ice and tight trees. The "harder snow" (aka ice) doesn't make anyone a better skier, but in fact is just another obstacle to improvement. Tight trees - fine, but try doing slalom spped at not-so-tight trees like Steamboat and see who's better.

No doubt there's many of the "names" have come from the East, which is another indication that talent is talent, no matter where it's from, but you rarely see them coming back. My West Coast and Rockies friends won't even bring their stuff out here, because - well, you know why, right?

And not many areas in the West would give their trails the difficulty ratings they do here just to ego-stroke their clientle. I mean, look at the diamonds and double diamonds up to mid-VT - pitiful - most would barely be blues in CO or UT.

I beg to differ..I feel the east coast has made me a much better all mountain skier and has prepared me greatly for when I lived in Montana and all my trips to Jackson Hole..Being able to ski all conditions from ice to powder to crust to slush to corn to bumps to trees to gates and everything in between makes for a great all mountain skier...put a Rockies skier on an icy Goat or Starr and they're skeet their pants but put an Ice-Coast skier on something steep and sketchy out west and they'll shine...Holla

Highway Star is no newbie to the ski forum world.....His celebrity on TGR, Kzone and AZ is a mere shadow to his notoriety on EpicSki. It all started with his posting of himself on a vid requesting comments. After a huge thread where certified intructors tried to make honest comments only to be flamed by HS, he then challenged all bears to a "ski off"...it went downhill from there involving thousands of posts on like 10 threads. For you HS fans here is a sample. Disclamer: I have never posted in any of these threads but they are sure funny to read.

enjoy
