love checking out new towns and places, but skiing is the priority ... a good sandwich or dinner and a few cocktails afterwards is key, but sometimes accomplished via my cooler

reminds me of the Jay Peak ad campaign last year..."if you aren't here for the skiing, you aren't here" no one goes to Jay for the town...unless you really love Grampa Grumps lodge!

A place to get beer, some food, will suffice. Pizza place works, gas station with beer works...

i don't need no stinking town ... i can see it perhaps mattering for folks particularly families doing ski weeks but as evidenced by the majority on this board, the skiing is the thing.

Just give me some good skiing, a clean comfortable bed, a beer store, a place to set up my little gas grill, and a good restraunt. I'll be happy.

Seeing that I live in a 'ski town', when I get out of the valley on a ski trip, not that important for apres ski. If a place looks good to go eat, drink, and be merry I'll go, if not, load up the cooler, fire up the grill and bundle up to tailgate!
